Dr. Dr. Tarun Nagpal was recommended to me by a friend. My younger brother had refractory epilepsy and had been seen by many physicians and other neurologists...it was when we took him to Dr. Tarun, he diagnosed him as a case of Myoclonic epilepsy with myoclonic status and on changing the medication my brother has become absolutely normal. He stands first in class and has also started painting as a hobby..I thank Dr. Nagpal and God bless him...so many patients shower blessings on him..

The best doctor
| Dr. Tarun Nagpal is an exemplary doctor. My brother was diagnosed with seizures when one day he fell unconscious in his office. He was brought by his colleagues to Dr. Tarun Nagpal, renowned neurologist of Central India. He diagnosed him as a case of epilepsy and after a CT scan, he told us that my brother has a form of TB of brain. We were all very scared but with his compassionate ways, he made us all comfortable. We were worried as my sister-in- law was pregnant that time. He told us that other family members will not be infected with this form of TB and my brother would be fine.. 3 months later the CT scan showed that everything had become ok. My brother took his medicines regularly and went for regular check ups. My brother was blessed with a son on 18th December 2010. My brother is so much appreciative and impressed by the doctor that he named his newborn son 'Tarun' . Our family is very happy and will always be grateful to our doctor who not only treated my brother but understood the concerns of our family and helped us emotionally in difficult times. |

Compassionate doctor

My father had difficulting in swallowing in June 2008. I took him to many ENT doctors and he was tried on varios cough medicines and antibiotiic medicines. His endoscopy was also done and doctors couldnot tell what was wrong . We were asked to meet neurologists and I consulted 1 neurologist and neurosurgeon but they too were at a loss to explain why we was not able to swallow. Then a good friend of mine asked me to see Dr. Tarun Nagpal. His father had benefited from his treatment and he was all praises forthe doctor and his good behaviour and understanding of illnesses. I consulted Dr. Nagpal in November. He diagnosed him as motor neuron disease and confirmed with EMG and a few tests. For the first time we had a diagnosis. Doctor explained to me fully about the illness and I wad very much satisfied. He was very compassionate and answered all my queries. I took opinion at Bombay with Dr.BS Singhal and Dr. Khadilkar.. Both renowned neurologists praised Dr. Nagpal and his accurate diagnosis. Even though MND is non curable illness, the doctor helped us cope with it both medically and psychologically. Hi Preeti, You and your brother may be the luckier than others (may be one out of ten thousands). I wish all the better world for him. But there are other 9999 cased with him where he utterly fails, one of them being my sister's case. Back to year 2000 he diagnosed and suggested of her having Multiple Sclerosis. After treatment she got little better but not quite healthy. And since I was working at Bangalore, I took her there in the year 2003. Just to have a second opinion I showed her to a renowned Neurologist (Dr. Uday Murgod) at Manipal Hospital (one of the best hospitals in India). He found out that it was misconceived and badly diagnosed case, he recommended for MRI's, ANA, DsDNA and other tests and it was established that she didn't have Multiple Sclerosis, instead it was Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. As my mom and brothers stay at Jabalpur, we brought her back to Jabalpur and told Mr. Nagpal of our findings. His ego didn't let him accept the fact that he diagnosed it completely wrong and apparently his behaviour changed, he became rude and red-nosed. He handed over the case to his wife Ms. Rachna Nagpal who happens to be a Rheumatologist, a newbie and a snub. Without us suspecting anything worse the treatment went on for around three years and one fine day we found out that she had developed Nephrotic Syndrome, due to improper dose of medicine and lack of supplementary medicines (which are supposed to be given with steroids). We didn't know this but a so called reputed doc and his wife are damn supposed to know this (pardon my language if the old bad reminiscences pang my brain). I took request transfer to Bhopal in the year 2009 and the case is now at BMHRC with Dr. M. K. Atlani who is a thorough gentleman apart from being a good doc. He explains us everything before giving treatment. He is open to discussion and is logical. He is HOD of Nephrology Deptt. at BMHRC (a hospital lot better than JHRC, in terms of management, doctor's panel, cleanliness, hygiene and everything else) and is not snob. Conclusion is "Beware of Dr. Tarun Nagpal" |
