I am completely disappointed and flustered at the service provided by Sachith Abraham at Apollo Clinic Belandur. I have visited him 5 times to get terrible pus filled legions on my scalp treated. This man after putting me under 5 courses of high intensity antibiotics, which failed to cure my problem, is now telling me that I should 'learn to live with 1-2 pimples on my scalp.' Is he a quack or what? Whats worse is that after 5 'consultations' (which lasted 2-3 mins each) he is asking me if these pustules just itch or do they pain as well. Further, he's trying to short change me by saying that it is caused by stress. How can it be caused by stress when I am having this problem for the last 8 years, since my early 20's and after trying several streams of medication I have come to him? The commodification of medical services maybe a larger question to grapple with, but I would hope that doctors atleast show some semblance of a personal interest in a patient's problem. Maybe they should start by listening to the patient instead of only being concernced with the number of prescriptions they can churn out in a particular day. Finally, if anyone is aware of reliable treatment for Folliculitis (an inflammation of hair follicules causing the above mentioned pustules) please let me know.
